I’m an unabashed fan of B.O.B. particularly when he sticks to spitting, cuz he’s talented and always brings a different perspective and tint to his lyrics that few do. Anyway here’s a fresh cut that hit the internet waves this morning “So Good”; coming from his upcoming sophomore album Strange Clouds.

I’ve been looking out for visuals, since the Tech’s stellar All 6′s & 7′s dropped. If you hadn’t heard the album yet, snag it now some definite heat on there. Hopsin jumps in and wrecks the track, though you already knew that.

I had picked up part 1 of Atlantic Records’ Game Changers series, with four of the artists that I have a deep respect for, B.O.B., Lupe Fiasco, Estelle, and Janelle Monae.  So of course I’m posting parts 2 & 3.

Atlantic Records has put together what could become a fantastic series, Game Changers.

They’ve recently posted part 1 of their sit down with B.O.B, Lupe Fiasco, Estelle, and Janelle Monae.  An absolutely rock solid roundtable of artist that are creating genre defying music.

I’ve spoken about the man Bobby Ray, a.k.a. B.O.B. before.  You know I think he is a part of a Renaissance of Atlanta music, along with Spree Wilson, grab the Evil Angel EP.

After some apparent label fuckery, B.O.B. is receiving his due with an album rumored for release April 2010, and what appears to be a real push behind an artist which brings the total package: writing, performance, and presence.

Coinciding with his release from limbo in the Atlantic is his latest video for No Man’s Land.

If you don’t know the young man above then you’ve been deprived of the most refreshing presence in hip hop.  A true torch bearer of the unique Atlanta fusion of hip hop, soul, funk, rock originating from the Atlanta collective known as the Dungeon Family is Bobby Ray a.k.a. B.O.B.  From growing up in Ga., those artists were those that changed hip hop in content and sound, and B.O.B. is another step forward.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing catching his energetic and live band infused set twice.  Each time relieved by his passion and ability to capture the crowd.  Particularly those that may have only heard a track or two and are at first taken aback by the live instrumentation, and then shortly there after brought in like a baby leaning forward for its nourishment.
